Capital One just expanded its travel rewards game.
As of September 23, 2025, eligible cardholders can now transfer Capital One miles to three new travel partners:

This update brings Capital One’s total number of transfer partners to 22 — the most of any major credit card rewards program.

Eligible Capital One Cards for Transfers

You can access Capital One’s full list of transfer partners — including the newest additions — if you hold one of these travel rewards cards:

A Closer Look at the New Partners

✈️ Japan Airlines Mileage Bank

💡 Tip: If you’re eyeing JAL awards, open a Mileage Bank account early so you’re ready to transfer and book.

✈️ Qatar Airways Privilege Club (Avios)

💡 While Capital One already had access to Qatar awards via British Airways Avios, this direct transfer streamlines the process.

🏨 I Prefer Hotel Rewards

💡 Caution: The value here is relatively low. Citi, for instance, offers a better 1:4 transfer ratio. Unless you have a specific I Prefer property in mind, other hotel programs may offer better value.

Why This Matters: More Flexibility, More Value

With the addition of these new partners, Capital One continues to build one of the most flexible and valuable travel rewards ecosystems.

For example, with the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, you can now tap into:

Despite its $395 annual fee, the card delivers significant travel perks and now even more options to redeem miles at high value.

Bottom Line

The addition of Japan Airlines, Qatar Airways, and I Prefer Hotels makes Capital One’s travel program even stronger. Whether you’re booking an award flight to Tokyo or planning a luxury hotel stay, these new partners increase the flexibility and reach of your miles.
