The Crate & Barrel Visa Signature® Card and CB2 Visa Signature® Card have received a major refresh. With a new card issuer (First Bank & Trust), a switch to the Visa payment network, and updated servicing through fintech company Imprint, cardholders can now access elevated rewards and enhanced features.

If you previously held the old Crate & Barrel credit card (issued by Synchrony on the Mastercard network), you’ll need to confirm your information through Imprint’s site to transition to the new account. Once completed, you’ll receive a new card number — so remember to update your payment details where needed.

Rewards: Bigger Bonuses in Key Categories

Both cards remain annual fee–free and now offer stronger ongoing earning potential.

Compared to the previous Mastercard versions, grocery rewards have doubled (from 2% to 4%), and the cards now include a milestone bonus for heavy spenders.

Rewards are earned in the form of reward dollars, which automatically convert into $20 certificates once your balance reaches that threshold. Certificates:

This makes the card most valuable for those who regularly shop within the Crate & Barrel family of brands.

Financing Option: Use With Caution

Like the older versions, the new cards still allow you to choose between earning rewards or accessing deferred-interest financing:

⚠️ Important note: These are deferred interest offers. That means interest accrues in the background. If you don’t pay off the entire balance before the promotional window ends, you’ll be charged interest on the full purchase amount retroactive to the purchase date — at a high ongoing APR (which can reach nearly 34%).

For larger home purchases, a true 0% intro APR credit card (where interest is waived, not deferred) may be a safer financing tool. With those cards, if you carry a balance after the intro period ends, you’ll only owe interest on the remaining amount.

CreditVana Takeaway

The refreshed Crate & Barrel Visa Signature® and CB2 Visa Signature® cards are strong choices for loyal Crate & Barrel shoppers. The 10% back at store brands, 4% at groceries and home retailers, and milestone bonus add meaningful value — especially with no annual fee.

However, the short reward certificate expiration window and deferred interest financing traps are important drawbacks. For general purchases, or for financing big-ticket home goods, many consumers may benefit more from a general-purpose cash back or 0% intro APR credit card.
