How We Make Money
The short version
CreditVana is free for you to use. We make money when you choose to apply for a financial product through one of the partner offers on our site or in our app. When that happens, the advertiser may pay us a commission — usually for a completed application or an approved account. You never pay more for using a product because you found it through CreditVana.
Where the money comes from
- Affiliate commissions. We work with advertising partners and networks, including CreditCardBroker.com and FlexOffers, who compensate us on a per-lead or per-sale basis when members engage with credit card, loan, banking, or insurance offers.
- Premium features. Some advanced features in the CreditVana app are available through paid subscriptions or in-app purchases.
- Vana Cash. Our banking and credit-building product, issued by Community Federal Savings Bank (CFSB), Member FDIC, may generate revenue through standard program economics.
What our money does not influence
This is the part that matters most, and we hold ourselves to it:
- Your scores and reports. The credit scores and report data we show come from the three credit bureaus. Our advertising relationships have zero effect on your numbers.
- Editorial guidance. Our explanations, comparisons, and recommendations are made independently of whether a company pays us. See our Editorial Guidelines.
- Completeness. Compensation can affect which offers we feature and where, but we also list products we are not paid for, and we tell you when an offer is from a partner.
Why we disclose this
Trust is the only thing that makes a credit company worth using. You deserve to know how a "free" product stays free. We would rather lose a click than mislead you about a fee, a rate, or why an offer is on the page. If anything on our site is ever unclear, tell us at info@creditvana.com.
